I think I was born to be a creator and an entrepreneur!
Growing up, I remember doing anything I could to make money! I would scrub baseboards to save up money to buy an American Girl Doll. I would make cupcakes and lemonade creating a daily lemonade stand to run during the summertime! At age 10, I even started making hairbows to sell to my neighbors and at our local craft fairs. At age 15 I started a piano teaching business that I ran until I was 2 years old. Business was something that I just loved to do-I love creating and I love goal setting so the both go together well!
LITERALLY DYING Looking at these! Haha! Little 10 year old me thought I was so cool!
Some of my cute piano students at a group Christmas lesson!
Flash forward to now: I am a 22 year old with a college degree, full time job, and two side hustle businesses that are a full time job in and of themselves!
I started my photography business in May of 2020-after getting thirsty for some sort of creative growth during the beginning of the pandemic. I went all out and invested in a $2500 camera, took online courses and ran with it! I have learned so much since then and have loved every moment!
Last year, I was able to start working as a Social Media Manager for @glutenfreewithcoral! Now, in 2022 I have two more Social Media clients and am running a full on Virtual Assistant business! As a Social Media Manager I take over social media platforms and create content plans for the business owner! I don’t replace them at all-but I give them prompts and I go in and do all of the captions, editing, work, and reel creation! It’s WILD and it’s so much fun! I officially created this legal business this month. You can follow me on Instagram @heyallyglover!
So… why am I sharing this now?
Well, all of these things fuel me! They make me so excited about life and I love sharing the things in life that I am passionate about. I want to be open about what I love and what brings me joy!
My businesses are a huge part of my life! I dedicate all my time outside of my 9-5 job towards growing my business and making extra income for my family.
I would love to keep sharing my business tips on here and hopefully inspire other creators and entrepreneurs to invest in themselves and start that side hustle! Try new things and make money doing things that you love to do!
What business related content would you like to see from me?
Being married to your best friend is hands down the best thing ever! I have loved and cherished (almost) every single moment of it! 😉 To celebrate the completion of our first year together I’m going to go over some of the top memories I have!
Buying a house together!
Boy-what a journey it was to buy a house in 2021. The market has been SO crazy! We spent months looking for the perfect house. We were even under contract for a different house at one point-until we learned that it was an undisclosed meth house… SO GLAD we dodged that bullet. Our patience and searching finally paid off in June and we now have the most beautiful house to start our lives together! I feel so grateful to be in a good enough financial position for us to buy a house. So blessed!
“Moneymoon to Florida!”
After our wedding in January, we both had to go back to work and school the following Monday-so we went and stayed at a nearby hotel for the weekend. The in May, we went on our “Moneymoon”-Drew called it that because we spent way to much money! Haha! For this more official honeymoon we went to Florida to visit my mission in Jacksonville, and go to Disneyworld! It was so much fun! We spent two days in Disneyworld, went to the several different beaches, visited my Mission President and wife-the Woods, spent a day in St. Augustine, saw alligators, and relaxed! It was the most joyous time and I’ve never seen anyone more happy than when Drew is at the beach haha! Seriously debating about getting a beach-house in FL someday!
Our first trip to Disneyland together!
My mom and I were supposed to go to Disneyland in March of 2020-back when the world shut down due to Covid-19. Since we still had tickets that needed to be used by the end of this year, and I have gained a plus one-Drew and my brother Jensen came with us! This was Drew’s first time to Disneyland EVER! & I have definitely created a new Disneyland lover! So happy that I married a man who loves Disney as much as I do! He already wants to go back again!
Never having to leave you!
One of the best things about being married is that you get to come home to each other EVERY day! No more driving back home to our parents home every night. No mores nights without you. You are simply mine all the time (Except when we work of course! It’s the absolute best to wake up to each other each morning-and get to end our day together too! I have slept so much better having Drew by my side all night. It really is such a blessing to live with Drew in so many ways!
Decorating for Halloween!
October is Drew’s birth month-which also means that he is obsessed with Halloween! We started decorating for Halloween at the beginning of October, and I have never seen anyone more excited for Halloween in my life! Our whole house was decked out in bats, cats, and spider webs haha! Drew even bought a life sized plastic skeleton-who we named Skelly! We had a lot of fun hiding Skelly in different places throughout the month! See pics below! I think we started some fun traditions that we will want to keep around forever.
My Endoscopy
Surgery usually isn’t that fun-right? NOPE! But this one was actually life changing. I was fortunate enough to have my husband be able to take the day off to assist me before and after the surgery as well! During this surgery, the doctor rechecked me for Celiac Disease. I do NOT have celiac disease so I have been able to eat Gluten again! Drew was overjoyed. Although I still struggle with IBS symptoms, I have been able to get a lot of them under control with lifestyle changes and medication. It was also fun to look back at the videos of me loopy after the procedure! I was crazy wild!
Weekend Trip to SLC!
In August/September both Drew and I were fortunate to find higher paying jobs-with better schedules too! I went from working as a Loan Officer to working as Loan Auditor-which is a lot less stressful! Drew is now the Clinical Research Assistant for the Heredigene study at the hospital up here. To celebrate our new jobs, and the fact we had a 4 day weekend, we took a trip to SLC! We spent the day at the zoo, family history museum, temple square, the Clark Planetarium, and had lots of fun at our hotel pool! It was honestly so fun to celebrate our accomplishments and have a care-free weekend together!
Temple Tuesdays!
When the temples opened back up this year, we decided to start going weekly! Between the two of us, we can book 6 trips at a time, so we go almost every Tuesday to do some kind of ordinance for our ancestors. It has been such a beautiful tradition to hold! I treasure the moments that we spend together in the temple so much! I also make Drew and I take a selfie every time we go-which I will feature below!
Since this was our first Christmas as a married couple, and in our New Home-we had to buy a LOT of Christmas Decorations! Here are some of the basics we started with! Hope you enjoy! Links are all found below!
My first Fake tree I’ve ever had haha! I grew up using real trees every year!
DIY wreath-made with simple ribbon!
We put Hershey’s Kisses in each pouch to countdown to Christmas!
I used to love this Nativity Set as a kid! When my Grandma passed away, my Grandpa gifted this to me to keep forever! Hands down my favorite nativity I will ever own! Plus it’s super fun for kids to play with!
EVERYTHING ELSE was from local boutiques, or decorations inherited from my grandparents! Let me know if you have any questions! None of this is sponsored! Just me trying to share my style with others! 🙂
When Drew and I got married, we had to go straight into a new semester and back to our jobs. With that in mind, we never got a honeymoon! So, 5 months after being married, we headed off to Florida to celebrate what Drew calls our “money-moon” because we spent A LOT of money-especially at Disney World! Was all of that money worth it? 100%! Neither of us had been to WDW before, and we are so grateful we were able to experience the Disneyworld magic together!
However, I was SOOOO nervous about whether or not I would be able to find places to eat. So today I am going to share some of my best tips I have for anyone who struggles with food allergies/sensitivities and want to go to Disney!
DISNEY IS THE MOST ALLERGY FRIENDLY PLACE ON EARTH! Not only is Disney the Happiest place on earth-they are by far the most accommodating when it comes to food allergies! Every single place we went to eat had a separate Allergy Menu Created! Isn’t that amazing? They also have a chef come up to you so you can talk to them about your specific allergies and concerns. This made my allergy heart so happy!
SKIP THE MOBILE APP Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many restaurant online offer mobile takeout only. HOWEVER, if you have allergies, you are totally exempt from this! Simply walk up to a cast member and let them know that you have food allergies, and they will direct you to a register where you can order safe food and speak with the chef. I felt like royalty getting to skip the lines and get to order in person!
BRING SAFE SNACKS! I don’t think my husband and I would have survived the heat if we hadn’t brought a pile of Gluten Free snacks! I was able to stash some Gluten Free Pretzels, Fruit Leather, Granola Bars, Applesauce, etc. all in my bag along with a water bottle so that we would stay sane! It also helped us not spend as much money in the parks on overpriced food!
BOOK RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS BEFORE HAND! Planning ahead is the #1 thing I wish I would have done on this trip. Mostly all of the highly rated Disney Dining restaurants were already booked when we got there. We were on several waitlists-but never actually got accepted into the restaurants. You can book reservations ahead of time on the app, or on the Disney website!
BOOK A HOTEL WITH A KITCHEN! This is a MUST for me whenever I travel. I do not trust hotel breakfast lobbies to provide me allergy friendly food. With that in mind, I always book an Airbnb or a hotel room that has a microwave, and a fridge. That way-bare minimum, I can go to the store and buy some fruit, oatmeal, etc. This works for me, but of course I encourage you to find something that works for you! We all have different preferences and needs. This is just something that makes my life easier while travelling.
I hope these tips help you feel more confident and ready to take on Disney with Food Allergies! It’s 100% doable, and worth every penny. Please don’t stress! Just prepare ahead, as you already are by reading this post and you will have a magical time!
Our Favorite part of the Animal Kingdom-the Tree of Life!
10/10 DO NOT recommend wearing Chacos unless you wear them all the time and are used to them. Haha! I got blisters for sure!
On a Safari Ride!
Nothing beats Main Street in Disney!
The most allergy friendly place on earth!
These burgers had to be the best burgers I have ever had. I don’t get to eat them very often with the bun! 😉
The glory days of living in a 900 SQ FT basement apartment-haha! We were so lucky to find such an affordable apartment to live in after getting married. We had the nicest land lords, and were lucky enough to live exactly 5 minutes away from each of our jobs. So many memories were made in our first apartment together-however, with rental prices being so high, we thought it would be better to invest in a property of our own instead of paying someone else’s mortgage! Such a small-yet cozy space!
The pictures say it all! Truly the reception of my DREAMS! Thank you to everyone who came and partied with us! The reception simply went by too fast! What a way to celebrate becoming MRS. GLOVER!
We were sealed for time and eternity in the Brigham City, UT Temple on January Fifteenth, Twenty Twenty One!
Despite all of the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic had brought along, this was truly the best day of my life. It was so surreal. We were lucky enough to be able to invite 16 other family members to attend our sealing ceremony-that’s way more than we had anticipated.
Our Sealer-Brother Garvin was from my hometown church ward. I can’t believe the little girl who once dreamed of bringing a handsome young man to this temple’s dream came true!
